Glass painting course at Villa Fabris

After the success of April’s stained glass course held in Vicenza, we are pleased to present this glass painting course at Villa Fabris.

Villa Fabris is located in Thiene, in the province of Vicenza in Italy, and is a beautiful neoclassical villa inspired by the architectural style of Palladio. Once a private villa owned by the Fabris family, the producers of Brandy, it is now the headquarters of the Villa Fabris Foundation, European center for heritage crafts.

This course will be an intensive course dedicated exclusively to the traditional techniques of glass painting for stained glass. The course will be delivered by Simonetta Mountain and Diego Tolomelli, while the glass we will use has been kindly donated by the company Mondovetro of Vicenza.

During this glass painting course at Villa Fabris, students will create two works on glass, learning to apply trace lines with a pigment mixed with essential oils and apply washes mixed with water for shading and finally colors using transparent enamels.

Course Dates and Times:
· Monday, July 27th 4 hours (from 2pm to 6pm)
· Tuesday, July 28th 7 hours (from 9am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5pm)
· Wednesday, July 29th (from 9am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5pm)
· Thursday, July 30th (from 9am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5pm)

The cost of this course is 450 € + VAT (materials included)
