To optimise time and focus on practical work, we encourage students to come with a clear idea of their project. It is advisable to share the drawing via email prior to the start of the course to facilitate preparation. During this stage, the project will be reproduced to full scale by hand or with the help of a printer, to be used in the subsequent phases.
A fundamental aspect of the course is learning how to correctly trace the cut lines for the various glass pieces. Students will receive detailed instructions on the best methods for drawing them on tracing paper with specific permanent markers, as well as how to correct them.
Students will learn how to cut stained glass using a light table and a professional glass cutter. They will then be given techniques and tips for accurately finishing the glass fragments using the grinder.
This phase of our leaded and painted stained glass course offers the opportunity to learn how to enrich your stained glass panel with pictorial elements. Students will learn how to draw precise lines, add decorative details and, if necessary, to colour the glass with silver stain and transparent enamels.
The final stage of the course involves assembling the panel using lead cames. Students will be guided through the assembly process, welding the joints with solder and cementing to complete stained glass panel.

Our intensive leaded and painted stained glass course last one week (7 days). The program ends the following Sunday, usually for lunch, with the last phase dedicated to cleaning the stained glass from the putty and taking some photos together and and packing the glass panel.
To make your experience even more unique, we offer the possibility of a private apartment located in the medieval hamlet of Bolsena castle. This accommodation is available at a special price reserved for course participants.
